Magma’s take:
Culinary collaborations in the heart of Notting Hill
Ladbroke Hall, a cultural gem in London, merges historical elegance with cutting-edge design, making it a destination for those seeking exceptional experiences. The hall’s dining room, which recently claimed the prestigious Wallpaper 2024 Design Award, offers an intimate yet striking space where art, architecture, and gastronomy come together in perfect harmony.
This October, Ladbroke Hall’s restaurant Pollini is set to launch Chef’s Table, an innovative culinary collaboration series that brings together the world’s finest chefs. For the inaugural edition, Executive Chef Emanuele Pollini will partner with the legendary Bruno Verjus for a one-night-only experience of culinary brilliance. This collaboration will see Verjus, the mastermind behind the acclaimed Table in Paris, present his signature dishes, including his celebrated Ni-cru-ni-cuit blue lobster and the daring Dark chocolate and capers tartelette topped with Oscietra caviar. In contrast, Pollini will contribute inventive Italian creations, such as his Tapioca mortadella with Black Truffle and a reimagined version of his mother’s lasagna—infusing nostalgia with modern flair.
Bruno Verjus, with his two Michelin stars and a coveted spot as the 3rd best restaurant in the world, is known for his devotion to French terroir and the producers who bring his culinary vision to life. Emanuele Pollini, hailed as Italy’s best chef by Gambero Rosso in 2020, brings a bold, contemporary approach to traditional Italian cuisine. His restaurant at Ladbroke Hall has quickly gained critical acclaim for its boundary-pushing dishes that still honor Italian roots.
