Magma’s take:
A day’s retreat exploring the symbiosis between body, immunity and seasons.
The second in a series of three days open for all to book, this gathering will be guided by the safe and caring hands of Master Practitioner, Jennifer Harper-Deacon, ‘Medicine Woman,’ and Amy Steadman, wellbeing eco-psychologist. The focus will be on:
Safe and effective detoxification regimes and their connection to the seasons
Common myths about fasting
The relationship of the microbiome to the immune system, and mental and emotional wellbeing
The day begins with a morning Nature Therapy session through the beautiful grounds and woodlands of Heckfield, where Amy will lead a mindful experience to help participants reconnect with nature – an antidote for the ‘always-on’ indoor lives.
This will carry on to an intimate seasonal lunch hosted by Jennifer, fueled with biodynamic produce from the Market Garden and organic Home Farm. Here, participants will delve into discussion and connection on the topics of the day while enjoying a sensory experience and reconnecting to what it means to eat mindfully. Jennifer will also share how each season provides a unique healing opportunity to restore the body’s natural equilibrium – embracing the body’s emotional and spiritual connection to the natural world.
After lunch, the doors of the Bothy will gently open for a therapeutic Sauna Medicine experience facilitated by passionate and caring practitioners before time to use the 18m x 6m Waters and hydrotherapies.
