Ladbroke Hall serves as one of London's most atmospheric venues for cultural events. Once a grand Edwardian building, it has been transformed into a hub for the arts, where classic architecture meets contemporary creativity. The perfect backdrop for intimate performances, Ladbroke Hall offers a unique space where audiences can connect with the arts in a deeply personal and immersive way.
On September 26th, Ladbroke Hall will once again host WORDTheatreUK for an evening of spellbinding performances from The Best British Short Stories (2010–2024). A star-studded cast of actors will bring these stories to life, with the authors themselves present for the occasion. It's a rare opportunity to experience live storytelling while mingling with some of Britain’s most celebrated contemporary writers. The evening will feature captivating author-actor pairings such as Chris Eccleston reading Ben Tufnell, Leemore Marrett Jr. and Kayla Meikle performing Leone Ross, and Ray Panthaki interpreting a story by Nikesh Shukla. Original music, composed and directed by Lewis Kane, will add an extra layer of magic to the night.
